About Perino Ranks Local
I Help Local Businesses Get Found, Get Chosen, and Grow.
Perino Ranks Local was built around a simple idea: a great business should not have to remain invisible simply because customers can’t find it.
I’m Ralf Alexis Perino, a Local SEO Specialist focused on helping service-based businesses improve their visibility across Google Search, Google Maps, and today’s growing AI-powered search landscape.
My work centers around Google Business Profile optimization, Google Maps SEO, Local SEO, On-Page & Off-Page SEO, Technical SEO, and AI Search Optimization (AEO/GEO).
But my interest in SEO didn’t begin with a desire to simply make websites rank.
It started with curiosity.
From Curiosity to Local SEO
One of the things I have always enjoyed is seeing the before and after. I like understanding how something works, identifying what can be improved, putting the pieces together, and then seeing the result. That curiosity eventually led me deeper into SEO.
I became particularly fascinated by rankings. I remember searching for a restaurant near me and wondering: Why did Google show these businesses first? Why was one business appearing above another? What made Google decide which businesses were relevant? What factors influenced their visibility on Google Maps?
Those questions led me to explore Local SEO and eventually specialize in helping businesses compete for visibility in local search.
What started as curiosity became a profession.
Why Local SEO?
I chose Local SEO because I genuinely enjoy helping small and growing businesses. Many business owners start with a simple goal: build something they can be proud of, serve their customers well, and eventually grow. I find that process meaningful.
I want to help businesses from their starting point and contribute to their growth by making them easier to discover when potential customers are actively searching for what they offer. And that’s what makes Google Maps particularly interesting to me.
A person searching for a restaurant, roofer, cleaning company, contractor, lawyer, or other local service isn’t necessarily just browsing.
They may be looking for someone they can call today.
A well-optimized Google Business Profile and strong local search presence can put a business directly in front of that potential customer. For me, that’s what makes Local SEO more than rankings.
It’s about connecting businesses with real people at the moment they are looking for their services.
Beyond Rankings
Over time, I learned that achieving sustainable visibility isn’t about optimizing one thing and hoping for the best.
A Google Business Profile doesn’t exist in isolation.
The website, content, technical foundation, local relevance, citations, backlinks, reviews, and overall authority of a business can all contribute to how that business is understood and discovered.
That’s why my approach has evolved beyond simply optimizing profiles.
I combine:
- Google Maps & Google Business Profile Optimization
- Local SEO
- On-Page & Off-Page SEO
- Technical SEO
- Local Citations & Authority Building
- Keyword & Competitor Research
- SEO Audits
- AI Search Optimization (AEO/GEO)
The goal is to build a stronger search presence—not just chase a position on a ranking report.
SEO Is Changing. Search Is Changing With It.
Google is no longer the only place people use to discover information. Search is increasingly influenced by Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other AI-powered experiences. That changes the question businesses need to ask.
It’s no longer only:
“How do I rank on Google?”
It’s also:
“Can search engines and AI systems understand my business, trust it, and confidently recommend it?”
That’s why I continue to expand my work beyond traditional Local SEO into AI Search Optimization and Generative Engine Optimization. The fundamentals still matter: relevance, authority, trust, quality content, technical accessibility, and a strong local presence. But the way people discover businesses is evolving—and businesses need to evolve with it.
My Approach
I don’t believe Local SEO should be about producing reports full of rankings that don’t translate into business value.
Rankings are important. But they are a means to an end.
I look at SEO through the bigger picture:
Visibility → Engagement → Leads → Customers → Business Growth
That means understanding where a business is today, identifying the opportunities that matter most, implementing the right improvements, and measuring whether those improvements are actually moving the business forward.
Every business has different competitors, markets, customers, and challenges.
So I don’t believe in treating Local SEO as a one-size-fits-all checklist.
Why Perino Ranks Local?
Perino Ranks Local exists to help service-based businesses build a search presence that can support long-term growth.
My experience has taken me through Local SEO, link building, Google Business Profile optimization, Maps ranking, On-Page and Off-Page SEO, technical optimization, competitor research, citations, and search analytics.
I’ve worked with businesses and marketing teams to improve local visibility, strengthen their search presence, and better understand what is influencing their rankings.
Today, I bring those experiences together under one goal:
Help local businesses become more visible to the people who are already looking for them.
Because when a customer searches, being good at what you do isn’t enough if they can’t find you.
That’s where I come in.
